Thank you to the Lost Anchovy Team-Keith, Ariel and Jon for putting on a really great tournament in our backyard East Bay.
Ended up taking a lot of pics from the morning till the end and wanted to share them with the NCKA Community.
The pics speak for themselves!!!

Watching this it reminds me that even the anti drone lady and her boob popping out went smoothly.
Also really enjoyed Jon's commentary throughout the raffle and awards!
Thanks for the slideshow Michael.

boob show.....Several times actually :smt044
That was my first attempt at Halibut and only my second time on big water. I had no idea what I was doing fish wise but did manage two leopard sharks, one dink and one hmmm what the hell do I do with that. I reeled in a lot of jacked up bait with teeth marks just below the hook but also was using some pretty big herring. Two hooks next time and maybe step down a wee bit in bait size.
Spotting the rogue wave/wake from a mile out was kind of interesting. I don't remember any big ships moving through. I'm just glad I saw them coming and get the bow pointed head on.
Without a doubt, NCKA knows how to eat and the spread at the event was spot on awesome. Thanks to all that donated.
Thank you to the organizers that took an idea and ran with it. The ARW venue was a huge success and looking forward to the next one.

LOL, I forgot about her drone comment. I wasn't sure if she was serious or not, but after that errant boob and then learning that she was a complete stranger to NCKA, I have to wonder if she was "just trying to stay a step ahead of guberment surveillance.... You know, they use drones now...." :smt044 :smt044

I wasn't aware about the boob lady being anti-drone until Tim came and told me lol She went over and gave the drone controller a show as well lol trying to fiddle with my joystick haha
at any rate, I was just curious who she was.
I gave Keith the drone footage yesterday so hopefully we will see what he creates from it. A lot of great shot at the beginning and on the water.
I'm glad people caught their first halibut...it will just fuel them to try and get that first keepers :)
