The Let’s Go Fishing Radio Show and a group of affiliated sponsors are hosting the 3d Annual Sand Crab Classic Perch tournament at the Santa Cruz Harbor Saturday, March 3, 2007. All proceeds from this event beyond expenses for the event itself are donated to the Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Project!

When: March 3, 2007 - 7am briefing - 8am start - 2pm weigh in
Where: Harbor Meeting Room by Bayside Marine for check-in and Santa Cruz Yacht Club for weigh-in.
Why: Good times, good fishing, good food & supporting a great cause!
Entry Fee: $35.00 per person. $60.00 for Adult/Junior (under 16 yrs old) team

Pretty phenomenal rsponse this year.

Because the Yacht Club Fire Code demands 100 people maximum, we have to limit the entries for this yearly conteest.  This year we filled up the 100 slots within a week!  My apologies to the disappointed perch anglers that didn't get their entry in prior to closing.

Congrats to those who got right on it!!  We have a small but prestigious showing of NCKA for the Derby this year, including Garen, Aaron, Alex, and Bill P.

Mike Baxter and I are trying to figure where we might have the BBQ next year that will allow more people, so we can really open it up.

Last year we donated 1500$ to the Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Project.  This year we may be able to double that figure!

Wow that is an amazing turnout! Can't wait to use my secret lure at the secret spot!
