Worst. Launch. Ever. Drop down a crumbling cliff into a boulder field with large pieces of driftwood to climb over. No beach to speak of, just lots and lots of large rocks. You could launch at OC and just paddle north a little bit to be in the same spot.

A little bit? I tried it at Simply Fishing but stopped too soon. I hope to try it again when the conditions are right.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

Conditions were right today to get there from OC - getting back, not so much.

All kidding aside, it is a pretty sharky spot. Kiel, Don D, and I saw one there 2 or 3 years ago, and a couple of other folks have had sightings there since.

Tiny, Sarah, and I were out that day also. That morning in the lot, another kayaker I don't know, warned us about a shark doing aerial displays the previous day. Story corroborated by the ranger a couple weeks later.
The launch is the shits.
