This is my first hobie is it's great shape for its age. After a few trips out I need to get better seats any suggestions? I see people put Jackson seat or bass pro asend seat in them. What are you guys running ?

Ive seen people install the rectangular hatch instead of the middle circle in the newer model outback with the two side rubber webbing. Can this be done in my model? I really don't like that little circle hatch.

They is always a bigger fish to catch.

Yeah, the old Hobie seats kinda suck... My ~2013 seat definitely isn't comfortable for long days on the water. I've got a Surf to Summit GTS Elite seat I owe meaning to try out on my Outback. Others have done it, and they seem happy. Just might need to add a few pad eyes to attach it properly.

I believe the area you want to install the rectangular hatch on your Outback, isn't large enough.  You're going to need a 2015-2017 to swap out that center hatch.

This is the OG Orange Outback.  The LE's came in orange as a throwback to this kayak.  The lever behind the seat is the rudder UP/DOWN control.

I loved that single rudder up/down control on my 08 outback!!  I miss it, except for when it wouldn't go straight due to rudder lines being all messed up.   :smt044

Nice color too!!  :smt007

A few here have installed stadium seats.  Costco has them off & on at times, and I got last time they had them ($25-29?) I haven't put it in/on my 08' yet, but looking forward to it over my Sea to Summit seat I got to replace the torture device HOBIE sold me with the hull! :smt044

Yeah I love the orange you don't much many this color . Mine has the stow and go rudder with the button to drop and pick up the rudder and steering controls . I'll have to look at them next time I'm there.
