Halibut from Half Moon Bay. 8/14/2010. Personal best halibut 40" and 25 lbs. The smaller one is 34" and about 15 lbs. Great day on the big pond.

The wide open hali bite aboard the Apollo charter boat, Channel Islands May 2011. largest fish was 42#, both of mine were just over 20#

This one from Area#5 Strait of Juan Valdez, Wa. in May 2011. 2-3 miles out in water between200-250' . Was initially laughed at by some guys in a B Whaler thinking what a nutcase.Sooooo sweet to pass them coming in and they are skunked and I lift it out of the water. :smt006 :moon  So long suckers.

Humboldt County Pacific.  Caught on a herring pinned to a barbless mooching rig, 118 FOW, somewhere outside the Whistle at Shelter Cove on 7/12/2011.  5 minutes from hooked to netted.  There's a video too:
