Making efficient use of space was a priority in rigging my Prowler.  I had several goals in mind --
1) maximize tankwell space for the fish I plan to catch
2) design a tight fitting crate that could easily convert into a bait tank as well as hold essential gear.

First, I took a standard crate and ziptied on some holders for my rods, gaff, bait knife, and pliers.  Then, to move the crate all the way foward, I shaved a little plastic off the sides of the crate to fit over the notch in the Prowler tankwell.  I got that tip from Freddie who did the same with his crate.  The fit was so nice and snug that I simply needed to add a double ended brass clip to the front to secure it to kayak.

The bait tank part was the easiest.  I took an insert from a softside Thermos cooler which I bought at Target.  It's their own Ozark Trail brand cooler for about $9.  The insert fits perfectly in the crate.  Next, I drilled a few water overflow holes an 1-1/2" from the top of the insert.  Then I added a battery powered aerator (about $10) which clips onto the side of the bait tank.  I've used this improvised bait tank for jacksmelt and shiners and it'll keep'em alive and happy all day long.  For not-so-hardy bait fish like anchovies, you'll have to use a pump instead to circulate water.

What I like best about this set-up is that I can use the crate with or without the bait tank.  I usually leave it in, if there's a chance I might want catch some live bait or need a live well.
