There's a mapper out there that's pretty much like Google maps etc. but has a button that changes the map to a USGS topographic/bathymetry version (button on top right labeled "Topo"). Although I've found it doesn't have every waterway it does have quite a lot. Also pretty cool for a lot of other stuff.

PS. Zoom in if you can't see it right away. Sometimes in the expanded view you can't see all the detail.

I tried the link, Z, but I got the dreaded "server not found" message.  Maybe it's just too new and they're still working on it (?)  I'll bookmark and check it later.  It sounds very  cool.  Thanks.
