I laughed, thought about how the thief didnt have any fighting skills, then was saddened by the thought that the homeowner will be sued and lose... If it is in California...

Citizen's arrest in CA means very little... Whether the homeowner was "present" at time of offense, and bc it was on private property... Although if the item stolen rises to a level of a felony, citizen need not be present for the offense...It can be problematic. Also, if the thief has any injuries, the thief has a viable claim... Sad but true.

I wonder if UPS and Fedex trains its drivers on thieves tailing their trucks

I love how the driver takes off before the girl gets in the car when he/she sees the home owner runs out. I hope it's not a boyfriend. :smt044

The only viable claim this person has is against the driver of the get away vehicle. The homeowner is well within their rights to make a citizens arrest on this person and use an appropriate level of force to effect that arrest. Being home or not has NOTHING to do with it nor does it being misdemeanor or felony. The fact is a crime was committed and the citizen took appropriate action. End of story.

I agree that a crime was committed. And a homeowner can take reasonable measures to protect property... with limitations. Protecting personal property and citizens arrest are different. Given that the "arrest" also took place on a public roadway, Just saying that whether the person made a proper citizen's arrest isn't always cut and dry . Being present to obserce the crime does matter if it is a misdemeanor. Felonies have different requirements.
I think the key here is that we all got a good laugh, and were happy to see justice met.
P.s. I am not defending the thief in the video. I think the ass kicking (or hair pulling 8n this instance) did more to reduce recidivism than any jail term could do.

Probably was.....even funnier.....there was plenty of time for her to get in but the get away driver gunned it and ditched her anyway lol.
If you guys have a few hours to kill and dont mind seeing thieves get their comeuppance....twinz tv on youtube.

Awesome!
Not to get too off topic but the creep catcher videos on YouTube are also fantastic fun... think to catch a predator. I guess publicly shaming child predators is also a no no in the states as all the shows seem based out of Australia or Canada.

That girl got knocked by the getaway car!
I particularly like the dog and cat coming out after the fact.
The the dog is like "ok , I see you've got this" and just returns to the driveway.
forget the dog, beware of the owner! :smt044

So much information in this one video…
1- Pick your friends wisely
2- Pick loyal friends
3- Be the driver, not the retriever
4- Fuzzy boots slow you down
5- When leaving the house, you may be called upon to dial 911
6- You can perform a take-down using your opponents ear lobe
Thanks for the laughs!

She is lucky it didn't get violent like this video at 1:25 and 1:45. The robber punched the victim in the eye.

Risk vs reward= crime....jail time isn't much of a deterrent.
Steal = lose some fingers
Steal again = whole hand
Steal again= labeled as "open season status" and released onto the streets with a bullseye tattoo on your forehead as a warning to law abiding citizens, as well as a free pass from the government to "take out the trash" so to speak, lol.

OWNED!

Looks like a "reasonable" amount of force was used to effect the arrest to me. 35 yrs as a cop as of now, time to retire soon.

Getaway vehicle: Cadillac & fuzzy boots are mighty suburban, and the girl looks young -- teenagers doing a stoopid prank???
