OMG I love catching Dorado. Never caught a frigate bird yet, though.

I bet it's been on your mind too... Let's set up a trip! If not dorado, maybe some YT in La Jolla?

I hope my kharma has been to my favor(?), because I would hate to come back as a flying fish after seeing this video.

Amazing videography! I've had the pleasure of seeing similar scenes from topside. Whether it is dodos chasing flying fish or marlin herding a school of mackerel or tuna doing a similar number on sauries. You see this stuff out in the deep blue, which is one of the things I love about it. It's great that they got some video to share.

It's all in the editing.
Surface shots of some fish, underwater shots of others and splice it all together.
I would like to see a video of the guys making the video. How it is all so clear and perfectly still in such conditions is amazing.
I wonder how much video they shot for that 3:20 minute presentation?

that'd be fun to know.
I once traveled with a professional nature photographer back in the 35mm film days (/tips a 40 of developer for fallen format). He said he was good with getting one good frame out of around eight to ten 36-exposure rolls of film. This has got to be at least that!

I want to spear one. Or two.

While night fishing for yellowtail, I have seen sea lions snatching flying fish out of the air, next to the boat.
