I'm looking for a yak with the following criteria:

At the cheaper end of the price range.
Ocean worthy.
Strappable to a Subaru Outback.
Big enough to fit me (6'3" but "only" 185lbs).
But short enough to be carried upstairs into my apartment (15' is prob too big)
Obviously rigged or riggable for fishing.

I'm not bothered about brand or bells and whistles, just the basics to get me off the rocks and onto the water.

I'm located in San Francisco, but would drive any reasonable distance.

Craigslist is giving me no love: what about you lot? Got a "spare" yak gathering dust in the garage?

A Caper would be another option. I keep mine in my backyard and it fits through my apartment.

You are correct about the longer yaks. I have to keep my P15 at my parents' house cause I can't maneuver it through my apartment.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I got one!

An old Drifter. I'm so happy. Let's go catch rockfish. What? they're closed? OK, how about some Sturgeon in San Pablo Bay. Closed as well? OK, well how about some Stripers in the delta? They've all been killed in the levee construction?

Alright, planter trout for now I guess. Baby steps.

Glad to see you finally got a yak.  You can always use the yak to get you to places where you can dive/spear rockfish.  :smt003
