Going to hit Clear Lake this Thursday 2/15. Launch out of Lakeport at 8am. Fish docks for bass and crappie. Plan on using swimbaits and jig heads from 1/8-3/8 oz and 3-5 inches long. Jerk baits from 3.5-4.5 inches. Maybe some crankbaits and lipless cranks. I may even get crazy and drop shot or drag jigs a bit deeper.

Looking for that 10lb bass or 16 inch crappie!!

Fishing was okay. The air temp and water temp were down from last week. The fish really didn’t start biting until the afternoon when the water temp climbed above 50.

About a dozen bass, biggest going 16.75, and one surprise goldfish! I never put on any crappie sized lures and none wanted my bass gear.
