Looks like this is a new model on their site

Anybody seen/touched/paddled it yet?

looks like an interesting boat. appears they carry it in au/nz after its original failure in the US - maybe they are bringing it back with a redesign?

Exactly. cobra just changed hands so that is likely whats happening. I have never seen one but i have heard nothing but bad things about the original.

I like the specs :smt007 Can't wait to test paddle one :smt045

I also like the numerical specs but the layout looks bad for my purposes. The hatch behind the seat? The tankwell way behind the hatch behind the seat? I would like to have a yak as light as my navigator with a little more length but putting hatches behind the seat is not appealing. Maybe this picture is not the actual production model?

hatch behind seat does not access the hull. the hatch behind the seat is a livewell/storage area. the one thing i liked about my old marauder was my center hatch. it was very rugged so i could use it as a standing position to fish from.

I always thought they looked like a great platform to stand on.
How are you compensating for the hook set "issues"?

Got to finally demo the Pro Fisherman. I'm really impressed with the weight...a lot lighter than a Prowler 13. The yak handles good but my only complain is the hull slap.
My very first yak was a Cobra Explorer...IMO, it was good for the smaller lakes and reservoirs but quickly upgraded to the Cobra Tourer when I started fishing the ocean.

I tried the one they rent at HMB kayak. I believe it's exactly the same model. The one I tried had a rudder. It seems very easy to paddle and the length seems to be just fine. However, I ended up choosing the adventure just because it seems easier for me to peddle. I don't seem to get tired as fast with the adventure.
