Title: NMFS telephone survey - tax $$ at work

Got a phone call tonight in the middle of schnozzing my KFC.  Turns out it was a phone survey by NMFS.  Usually I just hang up, but cuz it was fishing related, I did my civic duty.

One of the questions asked was: "on your last trip, did you go on a boat or fish from shore?"  I said, "Kayak."  NMFS reps repeated "Did you go on a boat or fish from shore?"  "Boat", I relented

Has anyone gotten the same survey?

I had that survey this past winter.  The odd thing was that they seemed most interested in Salmon fishing.  Sort of "in the past month how many times did you fish for salmon"  and I kept thinking, "what is this a trick question, this is February, the season is closed!"   Anyway, they also had a hard time fitting my kayak fishing into their categorical questions.
