Air Compressor

5outta6:
My 29 year old air compressor has about had it.  Pressure switch is shot and I can't find the exact replacement.  To add topping to the cake, I have found out it was recalled about 20 years ago.......Ingersol-Rand Rand 4000.
So I've decided to retire it.

What's a good air compressor for home use with a 20 gallon tank?    It seems even the bedrock brands are made offshore now (china) so its hard to tell a good one from a bad one; unless you go industrial.

Any opinions?

What is the CFM requirment. Cubic Feet per minute needed to run your tools?
Tank size doesent mean anything.
Some newer model pancakes are just great but need to know CFM of your tools

Drop it off a cliff or somehting.  Just don't be near it when it blows up, because it can detonate in your hands.  Seen it before at a used car dealership.  That onetook 18 years to blow up.
