Yeah! You mean the one on 12 in Rincon Valley? When I was in my early teens, my family would go up there on Saturdays for lunch from Penngrove....loved it. The best Fish and Chips in the county.

Let me know when you are going Cameron. Grew up in Rincon Valley and Betty's was quite the treat.

grampa passed in 2000  but my granma betty is still getting the party started, they sold it sometime in the 70s so im sure recipes have been changed with new owners n all or maybe not , who knows? but my granma is the original betty and growing up i heard all types of stories about how they grew up in kenwood and ran the fish n chips shop. is there still a bar next door? i guess my granpa always had to drag my granma out of that place , she loved the pint!

I used to love the "Little Fish Shack" in Morro bay.  Used to fish off the rock in the early nineties and allmost allways had fish and chips there.  I loved the tartar sauce with a hint of dill in it.  Jim

Might be a little pricey, but Cucina Italiana at Spanish Flat on Lake Berryessa is outstanding. Best authentic Italian food I've ever had. Worth a dinner stop before heading home.  You'll be back.

If you fish the Carson Pass area, Caples Lake, Carson River, Red Lake, Woods Lake, Silver Lake etc.

There are not many options on HWY 88 up there, but the Kirkwood Inn and Saloon has great food and cold beer on tap.

The beer selection and menu are fantastic, the appetizers are entree sized, the Zak fries are a reason to go by themselves.

The building has been there since the pioneer days, complete with bullet holes in the original timber beams.

The current fishing report/brag board is posted on the wall by the bar.

Mmmmm, Zak fries and a bacon cheeseburger, mmmmmmm, or maybe the French dip sandwich.

I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

I've got wood for fishing.
