There is now a small fly shop inside The Headwaters Kayak Shop. We have echo fly rods, gloomis fly rods, echo reels, galvan reels, airflo lines and rio lines, umpqua and rainy's flies. Most of the focus is on fly fishing the Delta, but we can special order whatever you need. Turnaround on orders is 5 business days and under. Feel free to call us at 209-224-8367 with all of your fly fishing questions.

North bay we have Russian River FlyCasters.
They maintain the fly casting pond at Dan Galvin Park in Santa Rosa. There are public fly casting lessons (free!!!!) all year round. Sat AM's in the winter and Thurs after work in the summer.

Our local fly shop is Outdoor Pro Shop in Cotati. They've got about 1,000 sf dedicated to flies but the majority of the shop is bass, salmon, crab

Thanks for all of the info.  I'm new to flyfishing - looks like the last post was over a year ago.  Any changes in local Marin/Sonoma/Napa areas?

Fish First in Albany, just north of Berkeley, is a great little fly shop. It's got everything you'd want, including fly tying gear. I definitely recommend it for those in the East Bay. http://www.fishfirst.com/

Sweet fly shop in SF, with some great guys working there. They've helped me with getting setup with stuff for stripers in the bay and new waders!
