Just wondering how the drive holds up to salt? Not that I ever see salt, But was just wondering.

Not sure what you meant about "the drive".   Is it the "Mirrage drive" you're talking about?

The Propel Drive....It says it is aluminum

It should last a long time if you wash/rinse it after each trip to the salt.

The newer model 401 drives are engineered to be much more protected in the salt, due to the design of the bell caps.  the older model drives, 201/301 series have bearings that are exposed and may be damaged by continued saltwater exposure.  In general, the drive is very well engineered and should handle any salt conditions.  There have been some noted issues in the past with the bearings as they are aluminum and not stainless steel.  The bearings can be replaced (I have the info somewhere) with stainless steel or ceramic bearings, which, if properly packed with grease will ensure no water or salt intrusion. In addition, if the lower drive is taken apart for service, it is recommended that the purchaser install new lower transmission O rings to ensure proper water seal.

I have used mine (401 series drives) in the salt multiple times and have had no issue. I do properly rinse and maintain the drives as per Native's instructions.
