I wish the Quest had the X13's hull. The Quest has it all, except for speed and the fact that it takes waves over the bow. The X13 chops right through the chop and has the extra speed.
I also think the Quest is much better built, with quality fittings and a stronger feeling body.
I carry the X13 around in the bed of my Tacoma, and on warm days you can see it bend in half along the edge of the tailgate. This only happens when it is right-side up. I put it in upside down if I don't want that to happen. That's a pain because I then have to strip it down.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

I've always said Hobie has the best plastic. I crashes my quest into rocks on a beach landing a couple years ago and just dug out the rocks with my knife. I think it would have broke other kayaks.
