I know that guy !   See him all the time...  LOL

Anybody notice the drive unit was installed while  carting it to the dock ?      I'm thinking it should be able to launch from the beach with the drive unit installed.   Maybe, with a little care to prevent sand from getting into the mechanism.

I cart my yaks to water edge with drive installed and fins pinned back then pull cart and lift front and drag a few feet to float. Works perfect. For landings I pull the drive. Too much chance of sand and rock strikes.

It seems that that cart would work with most kayaks, how much are they?

Without the wheelbarrow-type spread handles, I think a regular yak would be wobbling all over the place. Slick as heck with the Raptor, though, isn't it?
Warning! Retiree; Knows it all and has plenty of time to tell you about it.

Have you ever had any problem with sand, etc during the launch?    I'd guess the water would rinse any sand out.

No trouble during the launch. I keep the bow raised till the pinned back fins have a few inches of clearance then jump in, paddle deep enough to clear the fins at full stroke, then start pedaling.
