Title: DOTY 2018 (DQ's, rules, picture reminder)
Post by: Wilderness medic on February 05, 2018, 04:38:17 PM
I feel Jims pain. One good weekend of conditions and the entries are flooding in. Its awesome to see everyone participating and fun to watch the board constantly changing. Here's the board so far.

Please make life easier on me and Duane if you can. A lot of entries are including a single picture that can be a strain to try and zoom in to verify. The more the better. At least one overall and one close up of the tail would be great. Remember the mouth needs to be closed. You can have your fingers wherever it takes to close it for the picture as long as there is no obvious lip pulling or smashing them together hard to gain extra length.

Scallops

The rules state both shells must be visible in at least one picture. This is a no go.

Using that same picture as an example- Please use a straight edged item such as a knife to mark edges. An upside down bowl shaped scallop could have a lot more apparent length by holding the camera close.

This is a go but took some extra work and messages to make sure where the marks began on the trough since the first number isn't visible. Multiple pictures really help little issues like this.

Strong work, keep it up. Lets not let Rob L win. :smt044

So which hand did you use to take the last picture?  :smt003
