CANCELLED - NorCal HOW 3rd '17 Event - Friday, April 21, 2017

Hello All, 

The NorCal HOW team has decided that our next event for 2017 will be hosted at Steele Canyon Resort at Lake Berryessa on Friday, April 21, 2017.  We plan to try and accommodate approximately 20 vets that day. We will be needing some volunteers to take veterans out on the water as well as some to help with shore duty tasks such as carrying kayaks, prepping and cooking food, ensuring vets are rigged up safely with PFDs and rods, etc. We really want to thank the folks over at Steele Canyon for lending us their location as a venue that day.

This is a single day fishing trip for Friday.  If you're interested in camping, please feel free to take a look at their website for options.  The FNC was held there last weekend and was well received!  Water levels are great!

Few rules:
1. No Alcohol allowed at HOW Events
2. We usually could use a few folks willing to take vets out on our tandems or your own, in addition to guiding.
3. We could use a few folks to help out on shore duty, cooking, making sure folks sign waivers, safety check and launches, etc.
4. Please take pictures of the vets, but ask them if they're OK with it first.  Some are not willing to have their picture taken, but those that are usually really appreciate the pictures.

If you think you can help join us, please post in this thread.  If you know of any veterans or active duty military that may want to attend, contact Raydon.  We'll also post up the event details on our FB page at www.facebook.com/NorCalHOW.  Please follow this thread for updates on what we need from you guys as to timing of showing up, cleaning up, etc.

Bringing  my veteran neighbor to get involved too.
Is the gate going to be open early or do we need a gate code.
Plan on being there  at 7am.
Also, is there anyone staying the night.
Most likely  I'll be camping.

The gate opens at 7am. Just tell them at the gate you are there for the veterans.

Change of plans for  me. 
After the event is over . I'm leaving  and headed to the coast to fish Saturday morning.

so far haven't found any guests to attend with us.  If you've got contacts with veterans who might be interested in fishing in some nice, sunny (80 degrees!) weather, have them contact us!

No they do not. We have a group permit.
