Awesome event,
Unfortunately, didn't get there in time to hit the water. But made it there in time to grab a clutch of raffle tickets and hit the chill. Got to see a few brothers (and sisters) I haven't seen in a while.
Enjoyed a sample of that delicious pig and a few other delectables. After catching up and enjoying the feast, had the opportunity to congratulate the top anglers, than came the raffle.
All I can say is ... I was VERY lucky and a big THANK YOU to Tammy at California Canoe & Kayak.
Looks like I'll be making a special trip to Oakland in the near future.

Sorry guys. I'll get a report up by tomorrow. All the organizers have been pretty tired today and enjoying fathers day.
Yes Rob got third and a very nice award. Lol.  I'm glad he got a flattie tho. Most were on the small size but we got
four contenders- Enough for first, second and third.

Still sorting through all the video and photo.
Feel free to post up your photos and post for anyone that wants to chime in. Great event!! We couldn't have been more happy with the outcome. NCKA at our finest. --Keith

Thank you everyone for coming out and supporting the tournament. A very big thank you to all the sponsors. It was definitely a long day going on an hour of sleep but it was totally worth it! I'm glad the fish was biting although all were small it was at least action! The leopard shark crashed the party it seem like but it provided some line tugging. Just glad some keepers were found! Congrats to all the winners.

Have some great footage and a few pictures that I took on the water. I'll be going through it and post it when I'm done.

Once again THANK YOU for coming out and looking forward to next year :)

PS:  I scoped out the ARW from a bit higher up the next day.  :smt001

I wish I could've made it down to hang with the fam earlier in the day yesterday.

Thanks to everyone  who attended the ARW 2017 tournament. It was a great success for the inaugural event, and we appreciate all those that came out to participate or just to attend the potluck and raffle.

Here are the  official results!!

First Place: (KING OF THE WALL)
Steve S. (29.5 inch halibut and 12 lbs)

Second Place: (QUEEN OF THE WALL)
Ako Culver (26 inch and 8 lbs)

Third Place: (POACHER OF THE WALL)
Rob Knoles (Racin Rob) (24 inch and 4 lbs)

I also want to acknowledge Anthony (Gearaddict) and Tiny fro stepping in and assisting us with event Logistics. Their help really made the even go smooth and enjoyable for all those involved.

Finally, the ARW organizing committee will be donating 2,200 dollars raised from the tournament to PIF!!
We look forward to organizing the 2018 ARW tournament, and with all the small halibut caught this year, expectations will be high for next year!

CONGRATS to all who fished and placed and THANK YOU for the very generous donation to PIF!!!
