Hey all.  I moved out here a couple of months ago and my 19 y/o son moved here last month.  We have 4 Kayaks (two SIKs and two SOTs) and have been getting them set up slowly.  BTW, we both stay on boats (non-running) for right now.  I appreciate all of you and your tips, advice, and tutorials.  I'm stationed here until I retire in about 3.25 years.  We have taken the yaks out to Oyster Cove and been skunked.  I was just reading about the tubes at Brisbane, so I might try there tomorrow.  We haven't ventured much further than that simply because the day I moved here, all of my uniforms and salt water reels were stolen along with the Pelican case from the back of my truck.  I've spent my time and money replacing uniforms and now finally have some rods set up.  I am hoping that we can meet some great people and can ensure our rigs are set up well from the start.  I haven't done much salt water fishing and it has been a few years since I took him out on a lake or stream.  We both have an interest in fly fishing also, but have not started purchasing for that adventure yet.  Lastly, I have a keen interest in crabbing and lobstering, but haven't done that either.  I do custom leatherwork so if anyone wants to trade skills for something made out of leather, let me know.  You can see pics on Instagram (Gunny Stewart).

I also read about HOW and would like to thank any and all of you that do that.

I look forward to meeting (either ol or irl) all of you.

Gunny

Thanks Boss.  Been watching you on youtube since last night.  Learning a lot.  Like how tired I was when I saw Shelter Cove and thought it was only 20 minutes away from me.  To clarify, somehow last night I thought it was in Pacifica, not 4.5 hours north of me.  I was going to call you today to set something up until I realized that. :smt013

Thanks to all.  Sorry about the long wait to reply.  I was totally engrossed in a 15 page contention in argument about the merits and detractions of a trolling motor in a tournament.  The plot twist was how suddenly it became a discrimination on veterans and ultimately the pillars of democracy.  FWIW, I think you guys are alright, though time will tell. :smt003
