Lake Hennessey Gate Time

Does anyone know what time the gate opens in the morning? Im going out on my PB and don't want to wait forever for the gate

it opens at 6am. i got there super early today and was later kicked out because i launched off the bank. i was so excited to get that early morning bite that i totally missed the signs saying not to do so. good luck man!

You got tossed for that? I get that it's the rules but seems a lil harsh. You would think a polite apology would get a warning but to boot you? That's shitty. All the gate guys I've met up there are great guys, sorry for your luck.

Do kayaks need the permit from the Napa water department? Or is that no longer a thing? I haven't been there in many years.

My car was literally next to the sign. I'm sure the guy thought I was full of it, lol.  It was an honest mistake though, now I know.

Nope, just pick up an envelope at the launch, put in your $5 and fish. Love this lil lake and it's been producing this spring.
