So I'm looking to put a fishfinder on my ok bg prowler.

I've narrowed it down to:

Raymarine dragonfly 5dvs
https://www.thegpsstore.com/Raymarine-Dragonfly-5DVS-CHIRP-Sonar-with-DownVision-P4404.aspx

Garmin Stryker 5cv
https://www.thegpsstore.com/Garmin-STRIKER-5cv-Fishfinder-with-CHIRP-ClearVu-P5072.aspx

What do you guys think? I just want something reliable and easy to use. Me and electronics don't usually get along well. So the easy to use part is what I'm most concerned about.  Anyone have either of these?

Thanks for the help.

I haven't used either of those, but I'd cast a vote for the Lowrance Hook 5. I've been very happy with mine.

Hope that helps somehow...

Lowrance!

Raymarine Dragonfly is junk.  I have had nothing but problems with my Dragonfly 7 pro.  My Lowrance HDS5 gen 2 is old and has taken several baths and drug in the sand, but keeps on ticking.  The Lowrance menu is faster and easier to navigate.  Lowrance do make kayak friendly fishfinders

I was looking at the hook 5. Just wasn't really sold on it. But if you guys say it's good, I might just get it. $100 off rebate too, not bad.

This is the one, right?

You want the Hook 5, not the The Hook 5x. The 5x doesn't have GPS/chart plotter, which is VERY important if you plan to fish in the ocean.
