Free redwood

I deconstructed a small redwood deck in my backyard and now have about a dozen 2x4s, 3 2x6s and I think 3-4 4x4s . All of it is in pretty good shape although I got a little crazy with the sledge hammer while taking some of it apart. All the 2x4s are in good shape though.

All of it, you have to take all of it,  is free to the first person who can come and pick it up.

Bill....I'll take it for future firewood camping trips....that's if anyone else won't use it for construction...

You might not what to burn wood that has been soaked with stains or varnishes.

Yeah the 2x4s have been stained, probably not a good idea.

Where do you keep your firewood? I have firewood (some of it oak) that's been sitting in my backyard for years. I stopped using the fireplace because it was such a messy experience and I always filled the house with smoke, setting off the fire alarms, before getting the updraft in the chimney working properly. I thought about changing over to a pellet fireplace, but I'm hearing of some kind of ban in the near future on the use of fireplaces.

Howard, I'll take those firewood off your hands. I hate paying for 'em  I have a dry shed at the back yard to keep 'em nice and dry.

I can bring them to you You will be a happy (and warmer) fisherman.

I could take it, I use old redwood boards to build compost piles for my garden.  Just stack em up like a log cabin and fill with yard waste. 

You'll have to live with me being unable to pick it up until after wed though...
