Thanks for the report Ray! 2 in the boat in better than 4 in the water?!  :smt002

i got a lake that is 10min. from the house too.....I hate it! :smt002  it used to be the number-one, planted-trout lake in N.CAL before the 2/4 stroke thing.NO TWO-STROKES= Less BOATS = Less $$$ to resock.yada, yada, ect.
Do you remember hearing of or have you fished San Pablo Res. before?  it USED TO BE GOOD!

I recieve a weekly report on San Pablo Res. This year they say the water is clearer. They have planted it heavyly.Last plant was 2500lbs Lots of big fish caught. two 72in sturgeon c/r. TrophyTrout,Black Bass, cats, crappie, and sturgies are available. They say the launch ramp area is producing.and along the east side of lake Crappie are found in the no gas motor area which is to the right of the launch area.Early morning traffic and A 9 miles per gallon tow truck has kept me from going there.

Ray,

Sorry for hijacking your post but Pat R. is the San Pablo man (Da Man) in my opinion.  I always see him there and he seems to be able to catch fish every time he visits.  He gave me one of his grub lures but I haven't been able to test it and now the water has warmed so the fish are all deep.

You can't beat San Pablo for the scenery.  It's is a beautiful place to just paddle and relax.  We should have a tournament there and you can bring the whole family for the picnic (WAF Points).

Thnx fer the details Ray, i just read it was the last plant of the year 1 TON of TROUT!

Luis, That would be COOL!  It closes in early Nov.(lowest water-level) ~ reopens in mid-Feb.(highest,if rains)
