I'd suggest installing a 5" round deck hatch inside the center compartment. Easier to fit your gun & gear if they're too big for the compartment.
Will doing something like that viod warranty?  My guns arnt close to fitting inside the center compartment but that may be a good post warranty project.

Look inside the hatch well and see if there are welded nuts already there. For the 4.7 and the 4.3 I had there is an option you can buy that is a long tube that runs to the rear of the kayak. I'll ask for you but I don't think that would void the warranty as they sell the storage tube through Ocean Kayak as a owner installed option.

Alright, thanks. Currently im not in dire need but if a start to venture into the kayak fishing world i may find it handy to be able to store guns and stuff without having to climb up and down the kayak when switching from rod to gun.  Seems like if its a self install option it shouldnt be an issue. So far i love the boat, perfect weight,  speed and stability.
