Finally bought my new kayak a few weeks ago; I’m pleased with stability and the design, but there are some problems I may detail in another post, at a later time (‘nuf said)… for now I’m working with Old Town; I’ll let you know how that goes.

I borrowed a page from the Hobie owner’s forum and the NWKA and created PVC bunks. I thought I’d use a scupper cart then realized nearly everywhere I intend to launch has a ramp. Of course I’ve kept the scupper cart for those places without the launch ramp.

BTW:
Distance between PVC tubes is 15 1/2 inches for the P13; the tubes are placed under the scupper holes.
The fixtures for the Malone trailer worked perfectly for the Uni-Strut conversion.

I find it more difficult to paddle in the low seat position; even with a 240CM paddle I continually hit the side, however there is plenty of stability to use the high position which has eliminated that problem.

There is lots more to do in the future… I’ve got a list.
