My vote is for top right (if I drink a soda, it's going to be full-strength!). I'd buy one to slap on the power boat.

The flock at San Pablo reservoir is all white and many of them have growths on their beaks. They look pretty nasty and deformed.

Cheers,
Brad
Are you referring to the "breeding horn"?

Yes, as stated earlier, White Pelicans are a common occurrence inland (they can be a downright nuisance at Stampede), Brown Pelicans are more strictly coastal. I once came across a dead White Pelican in the Delta that happened to be banded. The band was so worn I couldn't read the numbers. After acid etching it, I reported it and it had been banded 21 years earlier at Stillwater NWR in Nevada.

I haven't heard a whole lot on Kokanee at Berry this year, but I would think it's still prime-time. There's a KP derby there this weekend. The results should be an indicator of how it's fishing.

General Talk / Custom rod reccomendations
« on: March 13, 2018, 09:49:25 AM »
Hi y'all  :smt006

I'm hoping to have a custom rod made for my daughter's 1st birthday. Nothing too fancy, probably an ultralight spinning setup she could use for bluegill, creek trout etc. as she grows up. This will not be her first rod, we have plenty of beater ugly sticks for the first couple years when they use them to smack every bush and rock in sight, but will be a rod she can grow into. Components don't need to be top of the line but I'd like some custom colors and maybe her name.

I'm having trouble finding a custom rod builder who will return my voicemails, so I figured I would turn to the wealth of knowledge on the forum for advise.

Anybody have good experiences with local rod builders? I'm open to non-local as well but local is always a bonus. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Thanks!

.177 Gamo whisperer, very effective and quiet, we use it in a urban setting with great results.
