You really need to take care of that wound! I know a guy who also got stung by a ray and it wasnt the vemon that jack'd him up, it was the infection from the bacteria on the barb of the ray.....

But sweet revenge on the ray!

Wound is healed and clean.  Did one course of Mexican antibiotics specific to the bacteria that typically infect a stingray wound, and then another round of antibiotics once state-side (motivated by Montezuma's revenge).  Local US doc checked the wound and declared it good.

I can recommend stingray tacos, for sure.  Delicate meat like any skate... but not much meat on them wings, and pretty risky to get at it.  I'll stick with safe animals like ling cod and halibut...
