Craftsmen's Corner / Re: How to fill drill holes - Hobie Revo
« on: September 05, 2018, 07:34:42 PM »
The safest way to seal the holes is to put a bolt with a locking nut through each hole, and to put Aquaseal, Marine Goop, or some other sealant under the head of each bolt before you tighten the nut.

Safety First / Re: river wrap in strainerville

Ex-Kayaker and I river boarded the South Fork of the American starting at Chili Bar when the flow was 5900cfs.
I got caught in a strainer.
As soon as I hit it I climbed.
Ended up having to bite down on the branches with my teeth to keep my head above water while I got my legs free so I could climb all the way out.
If not for that and keeping my cool I would have been a goner for sure.
Remain calm and deal with the situation. Panic is the enemy.
And I went through Troublemaker on the same float by choice.  :smt002

Great video!

I only use eyes if I want more weight to the fly.

General Talk / Bad ass artwork
« on: August 16, 2018, 07:05:08 PM »
This was a gift from our loan guy.
It's a pencil drawing of our new digs done by a local artist.
The attention to detail is amazing.
Almost have the place where we want it.
Maybe I'll get to go fishing for the first time this year very soon.

Any updates?
I'd fathom a guess the battery died on the trolling motor and the wind was too much to paddle against so he hoofed it back to his vehicle with paddle in hand.
At least that's what I'm hoping.

Get one of those small cheap travel pump sprayers and fill it with fresh water.
Spritz the glasses when they need cleaning and wipe off with a clean cloth kept in a small dry box.

Thanks for posting the pics.
Would have rather been there than doing what needed to be done.
