For Sale / Yakima Skyline Towers - Set of 4 with keys - $50

Hello all,

Before I go the FB/CL/eBay route, I like to see if any NCKA folk can put these towers to good use. I recently changed my ride which has a different rail system.

They are in good working order and come with locks and keys. You will need to get the landing pads for sure. Optionally, you may want to get the Yakima master key so that you can switch out the locks if you so choose.

Pick up in Benicia during workday lunch hours or Walnut Creek/Concord/PH area in the evenings or weekends.

Pay It Forward / Salt Point Camp Site for this Weekend

I have reservation for this weekend (Friday night through Sunday night) at Salt Point up in the Woodside loop but will not be able to go. Site number is 101, which has lots of privacy but still close to water and bathroom. It is large enough to easily fit two 6-person tents because it is flat and backs up to wooded area.

Sorry for the late notice. I'm hoping to find someone who can put it to good use.

General Fishing Tips / Spring Break in San Diego

For Sale / Hobie Sidekick - $120

Used but in excellent condition. Pontoons have no leak. The crossbar is actually brand new and comes with mounting hardware.

When my son and I were using a tandem in the past 2-3 years, the sidekick helped quite a bit when we were fishing off the coast. So, when we switched to two singles this summer, my son thought he would need it for his yak so we bought a new crossbar. It turns out the Rev 13 is quite stable so we ended up not installing it.

I live in the East Bay (Concord/Walnut Creek) and work in Benicia. Can meet up in either location.

General Talk / Salt Point - Woodside Loop

Just curious if anyone knows why the Salt Point Woodside sites (aka upper loop) are not open for reservation in May 2021. I have been checking regularly but nothing shows open. I called both Reserve California and the Ranger Station but still no info. The Gerstle Cove sites (aka lower loop) are open for booking though.

For Sale / 2015/2016 Hobie Outfitter - $2200

Purchased as demo unit back in 2015/2016. Took it to CCK Oakland and have them service the rudder cables. Middle hatch is brand spanking new. I added two Ram mount base with 1" balls for FF.

My son and I slayed brought back plent of lings with it. He is a teenage now so he is tired of his old man sitting behing him. We now have two Rev 13.

It is always thoroughly washed after each use and stored indoor. There are some scratches on the bottom from landing on rocky beaches. It has never been dropped.

We can meet up either in the East Bay (Concord/Pleasant Hill/Walnut Creek) or Benicia.

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Two Hobies on Roof Rack

Greetings,

For the past few years, my son and I have been fishing off our Hobie Outfitter tandem. He is now old enough now that he doesn't want to be pushed around by his old man and is ready for his own yak. Therefore, we are thinking about selling our tandem and get two Hobie singles.

I have been searching for roof rack carrier systems that can take on two Hobies. My main concerns are the weight rating of the carrier and compatibility with load assist systems as we are not big people.

We have a 2011 CRV. Existing crossbar is stock so it will have to be upgraded also to take on the additional weights.

We would love to hear folks' experiences in rigging up two Hobies on a SUV. Thanks in advance.
