No incident just letting you know just in case you are planning on being in the area. Wasn't going to post this until my report but that won't be until mid week. If something happened before then I would've regretted not saying something sooner.

I live on a rock planned trip for this Sat. My last of the year for Cali. Thanks for heads up. I'll make sure my yak is stuffed with noodles.

Come on Ramen floats doesn't it and you got to have something to snack on while you're out there

Are there geographic limits to this warning?  I know to stay away from "the bean" but is the north coast "safe?"

They've always been there.  We had have a drive by in the same general area. We just never reported it here.

A week after the diver got attacked out of SWS last year a NCKA member posted that he saw one the day before in the same area.

I was in the water and Silent Hunter was on the yak in about 35 FOW.
He spotted it cruising on the surface parallel to our yak about 15-20 feet away.
I had just surfaced from my last dive of the day in about 30 feet of water on the opposite side of the yak/sighting.

I had just shot and gilled a ling and four blues in a span of about 20 mins. So there was blood in the water for sure.

When I surfaced I was about 30 feet from the yak and heard him yell shark and point in the direction of the sighting.

That was enough for me....was back on board in about 10 seconds.

We both had SS on.

Dang! Too many hanging around right now.

I think everywhere along the coast in CA is subject to this warning
