This week are big tides all over.  Tomales has a very strong current.  Coupled with high winds, you'll be dealing with lots of topwater chop and the flowing current.  If you're dead set on Tomales and you're low on experience, then maybe inside the Bay towards Marshall or close to the clam beds at Lawsons (avoid going anywhere near the bay mouth).

Not sure what you're targeting, but the SF bay, areas along the peninsula and Santa Cruz still have plenty of fish.

Willyweather forecast is 19.5 mph wind by 11 and windy.com forecasts steady wind at 10 and gusts over 20. That's too windy for me.

Forecast at ARW looks good. Maybe hit SF bay instead.

Tides are completely opposite from last weekend to this coming weekend.  Respectively 4-5ft tide change from low to high.  That's a lot of moving water.  Plus 10+mph winds isn't very fun.

I'm heading out there Friday.  Still big tides but very little winds early on the morning.

Be safe if you do decide to go out.
