I'm sitting here on a calll looking out the window- its nearly high tide- and something is scaring the beejeezus out of bait in that tiny creek!

I've seen a couple of boils, and some ripping "bow wakes"...

If only i had my rod

Gallinas creek is the creek that leads from Buck's landing into the bay.

No surprises that there are stripers in there... I bet it holds a lot of bait fish at high tide.

According to the article Frankfishing posted:

"The flat trails are perfect for jogging, or for easy family strolls. There are picnic tables a short distance from a trailhead, nicely landscaped grounds, and one of the most beautiful public toilets in the bay area. Since there is no fishing permitted, the ponds retain a sense of peace and quiet sometimes lacking around local lakes, ponds, and shorelines."

Gallinas creek is up here by the marin civic center-- our office overlooks the creek and civic center-- we're WAYYY up the creek.  Funny thing, this happens about once a year or so-- i see fish way up here.

There is also a super secret squirrel secret that i'll let out-- there are Large Mouth bass in the civic center pond...catch and release only please

Perhaps I am splitting hairs on the semantics, but Las gallina Ponds might not be the same thing as Las gallina Creek. SO the water treatment ponds might indeed be off limits to fishing, but I doubt the creek beyond them and to the Bay is unless the DFG regs say so or signs are posted on the banks.

I landed a 10, then 20 lber in Galinas creek on a chrome rattletrap from shore a few years ago. It went from the ground to my waist, from the small end of the creek. Wittnesed by Anita and a few astonished joggers.
Big bat rays too. Watch for flying golf balls.
