We are going to fish Berkely or ARW tomorrow. We will try to be on the water by 6-630. The tide will change after 8 and will be coming in very strong. Any advice on how to fish it?

Yes... forget Halibut... water will be pretty muddy from the big tides... but, it could be great for sturgeon...

Also, this morning it was WINDY AS A MO-FO at sunrise... still is... when I drove across the Dumbarton at 7:00am the chop was huge... notgood for fishing from a power boat, let alone a kayak... tomorrow they are predicting slightly warmer temps but still breezy... winds should be a bit lighter in the am, but best to plan for non-glassy conditions.

I might try to fish tomorrow as I just had a client cancel for tomorrow...

If you want to fish for sturgeon you'll need an anchor and a way to quick detach if you hook into a big fish... also heavy diamond sinkers (3-8 oz.)...

If I go tomorrow (or Friday) and try for sturgeon I will be going to either the ARW or Oakland Airport... depends on what time the tides are... I am also contemplating fishing Del Valle instead, since I've never been there and it might be less windy...

Mikes bait in Oakland should have ghost shrimp, which is the money bait for sturgeon.

If the conditions are going to be that unfavorable then we might wait till Monday or Tuesday. I would have to take the day off from work tomorrow.
