There are some old threads on this device but am curious if people have successfully used this and have
recommendations on mounting to a Hobie Revo 13.

I’m not sure why you would want or need it. I can’t imagine it could hold up under a lot of weight. If the trap is light enough to use that, then you really wouldn’t need it.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

I do use one.  I prefer the ergonomics as opposed to leaning over the side.  Once the pot is up, if it's heavy gotta yank it out of the wheel and lunge the pot into your lap.  I do like it.  Other's have found it gimmicky but works for me. :smt006

Currently the rope is rubbing against the hull and I'm only pulling w/one hand. I believe this device will alleviate both problems.(?)

I have been using for several years and I enjoy using it.
This makes instead of pulling, you can push the rope to raise traps which is much more effective motion.  It makes much easy to raise heavy pots.

I've used it for many years on my past boat.  It works pretty good with weighted down pots and rubbing as suggested. Only been out crabbing once last year but didn't take it with me as I seem to take more stuff than I usually need and the depths we were crabbing were shallow.
