AOTY / Re: AOTY 2023 Participant list

Thinking about jumping in again. Hook me up please. Thinking I will shoot to break my PB points total of 1825. See where that lands me in the pyramid.

Well, have not been here for a while then I see this. Maybe I should fish a bit and get to 18-1900 again. Give y'all something to shoot for.

Fishing Tournaments and Events / Rollins Reel Deal Sept 24th, 2022
« on: July 14, 2022, 12:23:14 PM »
This is just a place holder with more info to come shortly. Same format with some possible small changes. Updating as I type this.

This is for Briana Scott from Colfax who passed away recently and left two young children behind. A member of our fishing community and her first tournament ever was our last event for JT Borofka in 2019.

Link to our last event: https://www.facebook.com/rollinsreeldeal

Past event: http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=88244.msg1015741#msg1015741

Thanks for looking.

Looking for sponsors also, so if you are able to contribute as a company or individual for raffle prizes thank you in advance.
We raised around 15k last time for JT and would love to double that or more for Briana's children.

The cost of my work/labor is up so I am passing it on the the consumer. Nothing else I can do. Looks like I am making more on paper, but far from the truth.

The Tarpon 140 is really good in the ocean. I am sure the Eddyline is good too, but have not been on one in the ocean. I think the Tarpon has a little wider tank and cockpit. The Tarpon is really good for surf launching. A lot of the members here have had the Eddyline in the past so hopefully some will give some advice.

General Talk / Re: Insurance for a kayak trailer?
« on: February 25, 2022, 08:38:48 AM »
i have a little 5x8 enclosed work trailer with tools etc. I am covered for liability while towing and hooked to vehicle. I got a separate policy that covers the trailer itself including theft and it's contents. It is not that much and covers I believe actual ($5000) replacement on trailer and $4000 on the tools. Maybe $20 month I think.

yep Rob would know ..OG right there...

I'm trying to get back to the group here. Been so busy with work and have been racing again. Speaking of racing.  I really need to get on track insurance for the Camaro. Anything can happen and very well could. It is covered for theft/fire off track, but not on track. Also the trailer I haul it in is covered for comprehensive too. I really need to insure the contents off that also. Just keep putting that off.

Wishing  you a speedy and full recovery.

All the adapters I have seen will work from a 7 pin tow vehicle to a 4 pin trailer. I don't think they make one to go the other way. With that said, you can still tow with brakes on your Toy. All you need to do is put a 7 pin on your Toyota to run the wires from the converter you use to the new plug and run the wire from the controller to the 7 pin also. Or split the wires you have now and add the 7 pin + controller wire and have both. Hope I did not confuse you. IF you were closer I could hook it up pretty fast.

My last haircut was the first week of Feb 2020. It has grown out some since then.

Were you fishing near the houseboats? There are mooring cables all over that area. Boats snag them all the time if they do not know.

FREE:  you must p/u. no shipping:

Wilderness Air Pro Seat ( removed from a defective yak I had to destroy to get a replacement). Never in / or on the water.

I think this is the seat.

https://www.wildernesssystems.com/au/products/airpro-advance-seat

P/u in Marin County or  Amador County.....

PM if you can use it.

Is your seat from a Ride kayak? The one you linked to?

I’ll take it, my daughter’s kayak could use a seat.

Do you have the Ride kayak? It really will only work on a Ride and nothing else at all.
