So my scupper cart put a hole inside my scuppers which caused me to sink last weekend. Contacted OK and  they sent me a bunch of plastic rod and yellow plastic to patch. Bought a plastic welder at Harbor Freight and went to work. It wasn't too hard and I put a lot of plastic on there. I figured if some is good more is better. It's ugly, but it's smooth and passed the hose test. Hopefully conditions along the Sonoma Coast are good this weekend so I can give her a test....with my new pump handy of course.

Sounds like you plugged that hole up pretty good.

Good luck!

Welding with soft plastics is fairly easy. I saved cut out material from my kayak when I added a hatch specifically incase I need to do patch work. I have used a soldering iron and you can bead plastic similar to a weld with flux rod. I've made many custom brackets and parts from welding plastic together. It's surprisingly tough and the welds are very strong.

That's good news. I blasted it with a spray nozzle from the hose and not a drop got through. Hopefully it is good enough, but I don't see why it wouldn't be. It isn't glued on, it is welded together so...

I can only see the forecast up to Friday, but the conditions look like @$$. Hopefully it blows out Friday and Saturday is nice, I can't take tomorrow off but conditions look great for tomorrow.
