I have a 2015 Ram 2500 short bed crew cab. Looking for a lumber rack or any other type of rack that could haul a couple of yaks. Was looking at the Thule Xporter but they seem to get mixed reviews and spendy at $800. I do like the fact that i don't have to drill holes in my bed rails though. Any help would be appreciated. Im tired of trying to squeeze my 14' Jackson Cuda into my travel trailer. :smt013
Thanks for the help.
Anthony.

This is a great deal especially if he has the mounting hardware. You would have to cut the length down and drill holes in the rails to match the stake pockets on your bed. I bought the same rack for my tundra and had to cut it down to fit.
The rails mount to the bed caps without drilling your truck. They stay mounted, the uprights/cross bars slide on and off. It's nice being able to adjust the spacing of the cross bars.

From the pics above it looks like he's missing the knobs that hold the uprights so he might be missing the rest of the hardware. You could probably talk him down a bit he's had it listed for several months.

I emailed the guy he has all hardware. Offer him 350 he'll probably take it.

Look at these TracRac racks. They're made by Thule, clamp to the rails, and are more than strong enough for two kayaks (mine carries a Revo and a Trident). And they cost a Benjamin less than that used rack would cost.
Been using mine for two years and they haven't left any marks on the bed rails.

I have the $300 Home Depot tracrac. It's a great deal.

I misread it as someone wanting to buy a lumberjack and all I could think of was this:

Went with this. It will probably be crap but gets decent reviews.

Probably not total crap :smt003 I went with aluminum because I live right on the coast, and corrosion was my biggest concern.
You'd said something about wanting one to toss a couple of kayaks on. The bar on that TMS isn't wide enough for two, side-by-side, but I guess you can always rig up some J-like racks for it or buy them from TMS.
