General Fishing Tips / Albion River
« on: June 28, 2023, 10:53:42 AM »
The family and I are going to Albion the last week of July, we are hoping to get out for some rockfish. If the weather is not cooperative I was wondering if there were striped perch in the river I think on light tackle they would be a good fight just wondering if any of you folks could verify that there are perch in there and if it's legal to fish for them thank you

General Fishing Tips / Using a freshwater real in salt water
« on: April 23, 2021, 09:25:25 AM »
This summer I'm going to do a trip to Fort Bragg . I will be there for 8 days I do not have any saltwater reels and was planning on just taking my freshwater stuff is this a good idea or bad idea ? I have no problem thoroughly cleaning it afterwards. Do any of you guys use your freshwater stuff in the ocean? , any tips would be great or suggestions on a not too expensive spinning 4 baitcast reel

Clearlake Crappie and Bass bite is wide open, with work, projects and now little league I haven't fished this year yet, but plenty of my friends are putting a hurt on them. Just an FYI

I take it that their will be more details for the clear lake event wen it gets closer, that sounds like it will be a killer event.

I would fish towards wildflower, and drift back to your launch, wind will be in your favor. Yesterday 7/3 the water looked thick with a page bloom. Use bulky and loud baits.
