In my two pictures notice the axle are not dead center to the cargo areas?  My two boats hang over the trailer front and rear.

Yes, tongue weight is the important part, you can load the boats on there sideways or straight up and down and it should pull reasonable as long as you have a enough tongue weight. I threw out the 2' channel tongue and replaced it with a 9' long 3/8" wall box tube. I added 100# of tongue weight I can set my boats dead center and be fine.

Thanks! How long shall I go? I thought  24' could be too long (but, again, I have no idea)? Plus of shorter one is that it can fit into garage, and, I think, is easier to tow.

Can I go with trailer, shorter than yak? I.e. if trailer is setup for 12' boat and AI is 16' - what is downside?
I cut my trailex down to fit my garage. Measure twice cut once though. Do you have cradles?

I don't. I was thinking about using v-shaped racks (I happened to have 2 pairs), but if that does not work I'll look at cradles.

Would pvc pipe work just about as well as the cradles?
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

Pvc bunks work sweet. Both of my boats have been stored on pvc, and they're golden.

1.5" fits the channels perfectly. 13 inches on center.
