Hmmm, is the rockfish bite slow in the mid-50s water temp?

That's a good question. Maybe it's just relative temp, as in it needs to warm a few degrees before they realize it's no longer winter. Anyways, I was thinking more of the halibut. I've heard that in Santa Cruz, a surface temp of 60 is the magic number for halibut, and I've noticed that there does seem to be some truth to that...
