Went out the last two weekends in a row.  Didn't track anything useful on my first trip since I forgot to start tracking until we were headed in and then forgot to turn it off until I got home.  However, this past weekend I went for a paddle with another so cal stealth owner, (the only other guy I know who has a glass model), and we hit the harbor for a fitness paddle.

We did a top speed run and my garmin watch clocked me at 7.5mph, my fish finder recorded a 7.2 while I was watching it, and Dan was around 6.9 on his phone.  We were side by side the entire time so I don't think there was ever .6 mph difference between us.

Fastest I have ever moved on a kayak before.  I am sure once I get more comfortable with the kayak and focus more on conditioning I will be able to get that speed closer to or over 8mph on a sprint, and hopefully that will translate to 4+ mph cruising/trolling speeds.

Kayak: Stealth Fisha 500
Paddle: RPC3 Mid Wing (full carbon)
Paddler: 5'10", 212# Athletic Build
Extra Gear: PFD, Radio, Knife, Etc.
Devices: Garmin Instinct Smart Watch in "Kayak" mode (top speed rec. 7.5mph), Lowrance Elite 7 ti2 (top speed rec. 7.2mph)

Thanks for looking

Aespo90, thanks for sharing this! With ProFisha 525, my top speed is around 6.9MPH, easily to cruise above 3.5MPH with a wing paddle and 2.5MPH with a Greenland paddle.

Thanks for sharing.  I have never paddled with a green land paddle, but they do look interesting.  I saw someone in a sea kayak using one a week or 2 ago, it was pretty cool.

Finally had a decent day on the water and enough time to fish.  Wasn't overly productive but it was a fun trip and I put a few fish on the board albeit not the gamefish I was hoping for.  Chased birds around for a while, did a few deeper drops with a jig. My garmin watch recorded my fastest speed at 6.2mh, and my average moving speed at 4.2mph.  Every time I looked at the speedo on my Lowrance I was cruising around 4.5-5mph, with a full kit (3 tackle boxes, 4 rods&reels, dry bag, gaff, water bottle, ff battery (Li), and a few fish, and my bait tank with water and baits in it.  Speeds recorded were all in the open ocean.

That's fast brah!  There's such pleasure in the glide and hearing that ripple of wake knowing that I've boldly paddled faster than I've ever paddled before..."to infinity and beyond!"  Not sure I can reach your numbers but the standard is set...gotta get that stroke right and consistent...challenge is for how long can I maintain a certain speed, 1 mile, 20 yds....what a blast... :smt006
