it's probably fixable...you may have to reinforce it with a metal backing (stainless steel, aluminum, etc) with a couple screws. Doubt something like plastic welding, crazy glue, epoxy will be enough by itself.

This is probably linked to higher temps in the water. Just happen to read about a big fish die-off in the bay due to the same algae bloom.

A coworker of mine took a class with Chris and he said it was the best $300 he has ever spent for a 4 hr 1:1 class. He wrote about his experience on a Yelp review. I think Chris assesses your experience level, and then tailors the class to what you already know/don't know.

crazy thought but what if you lightly etched a couple markings and filled in with ink? it might be less susceptible to rubbing off

I used the same reflective rod from home depot that christianbrat uses along with a cheap cut out orange construction flag. Before I would use old tent poles (which I liked) because you could easily fold them up for storage.

yea tomales is considered the ocean so whatever rules apply to the ocean apply there.

They are rarer from years past. I hear of them occasionally caught in the ocean but seems like brackish waters near carquinez is where to target them. Never got one but would be totally stoked to get one as a bycatch
