That's awesome!
I've been planning to upload videos of me playing a uke bass.

Anyway, make sure she mentions to like and subscribe. Especially to hit the little bell so that the kids will get a notification when a new video is uploaded.

Getting our youth playing an instrument and enjoying music at a young age is important! Sure helps me keep my sanity while incarcerated 'indoors' during these times. It's definitely therapy.

Best of luck to the channel!

Recipes / Which Italian Dressing & Marinade is best?
« on: February 01, 2020, 09:44:32 AM »
While stationed in Alaska during the 90's I met up with a Soldier who was an avid fisher and hunter. He always had the best tasting Salmon.  He told me that Bernstein's Italian Dressing and Marinade was all he used.  It's quick and easy. Toss some moist wood chips in the grill and that's it.

Is there another quick and easy (pre-made) Marinade in a Bottle that anyone else is using?

I never used a bixpy motor. But, I never would have thought to register my yak if using one. How much was the registration?
I'm learning a lot on this forum.

Thanks for sharing that!

I've been told by 2 knowledgeable shops...The aluminum track is much stronger than the plastic ones in regards to flexing from force.
Use your rod holders on the aluminum track.
If using heavier items like a fish finder on the plastic track, use it close to either end where the track doesn't flex as bad.

Safety First / Re: VHF radio or not?
« on: January 30, 2020, 10:15:19 AM »
I'm looking for a new marine band VHF radio as well. Also wondering if many of the bells and whistles are actually used by kayakers

My experience with amateur radio handhelds is that the companies that make them are trying to produce them as cheap as possible yet pack in the features. They put cheap antennas on them largely due to the fact most people will change out the antenna for a 'good' aftermarket one that meets the individual need.

Since these manufacturers are the same in both markets, it seems like the antennas that come with these will produce the same undesirable results. Has anyone noticed this to be true for marine band radios?
I'd take a better antenna over 1 or 2 watts any day.

I am also wondering if anyone is using an external antenna mounted on the light pole or other mount on the kayak.

Hey all,

I'm a recent Military transplant to NorCal (Elk Grove/ Sacramento area).
Getting all geared up to do some offshore fishing and checking out the inland hotspots in the Outback.

I'd like to meet some good people to team up with.
I can't wait to get out in the community and do some real fishing again!

I also hope to cross the from San Pedro to Catalina Island to fish and camp and come back across. That and any other similar trips.  If any of you are into that, let me know
.. Can't do it alone.

Anyway,  thanks for the add

Steve
