Weather is hot and so is the fishing. Rainbows up to 6 lbs and tons of small salmon up to about 2 lbs. Trolling about 30-45 feet down. Big springs and the branch loaded up with rainbows flies and jigs on light tackle.

Thanks much for the report.  I can't wait to get up there in the fall.

Thanks for posting. Just wondering, is this info you've heard through the grapevine or first hand experience? I was there Aug 11-14 and scratched up a few fish, but sounds like the bite has improved considerably.

First hand I've been averaging around 20-25 fish per trip catch and release.  I've been running sling blade flasher and either a gulp minnow, or nightcrawler or a pond smelt fly but the worm is definitely the most consistent.

20-25 per day, Hell yea! Good for you, that's getting into Clayman territory/numbers. Thanks again for sharing, now I have to figure out how to get the WAF points to make a trip happen.

Hey there nosoup, I will be up there Saturday morning launching from Westwood beach as usual. Look for a dune pro angler.

Sounds good!  I will keep that in mind, but if I make it up, it will most likely be Sunday when it's suppose to be a little cooler.

There's a good chance I will be up there that weekend too.   :smt003

Fished this morning from daylight til 11am caught 12, largest was a 24" rainbow and the rest were 13-15" salmon. Vertical jigging kastmaster out in front of bigsprings.
