Started out launching from Ash street in Carpinteria (aka Carp as the locals call it) easy launch @low tide 9:00 am, water Temp 61 degrees. I cautiously opted out of bringing my  FF. Paddled out about a mile past the kelp, then turned right and headed northerly to Santa Clause Lane. Tried the Sabiki to no avail. Realizing I should have brought the FF. I threw the White krockodile out about a hundred ft out and began to troll northerly again when click click click click and Zing.......fish on. a few cranks later he was off... then I was reeling it in and pow., another hit. feisty lil' fish, not as big as I expected...better luck next time I guess. Next report in a few days from San Diego.. JeffE

What jeff's not telling you is that he was only down in carp to fish for TUNA.  c'mon give us the real report!  :smt002

Macks are way deceptive, so scrappy.  Always makes me think I'm pulling on something bigger.
