Hello fellow anglers.  First let me say that I find this sport very interesting, and hope I can join in the madness.  I have been been blessed to be fishing most  of my life.  Mostly in the Vallejo Bay area.  Started off at the waterfront, then to the old Pier.  I even had a job at the old baitshop in Vallejo called J&M Market.  I even got razed pretty hard by Friends that call me "The Master Baiter." Maybe some of you have been there (the bait shop) :smt005.  Needless to say all my gear was set up pretty heavy.  I then moved to Sacramento for college and all my gear had to be changed to freshwater.  I have owned a few boats in the past but it seems that the only time they saw water was when the sprinklers came on or it started raining.  You know what they say "The two happiest days of a boat owners life".  So with that said, I look forward to jumping into the madness, getting geared up, getting on the water, and hopefully meeting some of you.  Thanks for reading.

We're about the same age. If you've fished around the Vallejo area, most likely we
know each other. Can't wait to fish with you bro and welcome aboard.

Troutnut, Stormscrambler, Sailfish, Jedmo, thanks for the welcome.  Yeah I fished the Vallejo/Napa/Benicia/Peteluma River/ HWY 37 (Skaggs Island) pretty heavy.  My fondest memories are from childhood and sneaking onto Mare Island Naval base to bowl, catch 25 cent movies and fish.  Never really worried about being caught because my uncle was the head Shore Police out there for the longest time.  Have you ever tried fishing the docks at Mare Island closer to where HWY 37 crosses over the river.  Really deep there right next to the docks.......excellent for stripers.  Directly across from there are pilings.......excellent for sturgeon.  You are right Jedmo we probably have crossed fishing paths in the past.  Again thanks for the welcomes.

I know that area very well and fish there many times.  Caught lots of BIG Stripers!
